Anyone drink this? 6 bottles of Bavaria for £2 in Morrisons.

It's a complete revelation to me as I've been unable to drink lager for 3 years due to having gout. This stuff tastes the same, is keeping me cool this summer and no hangovers!!!

Edited to add: I have no idea how a sad smiley popped up!!

I had to drink Becks Blue for 3 months whilst on meds, it really didn't taste much different, although I'm not a lager drinker but kind of took the fun out of being silly and talking cr@p after having a few proper ales.

Yup, tried the Bavaria, doesn't taste bad at all if properly chilled. And cheaper than pop. Only downer is that you realise just how much tax you pay on alcohol. :(

When I was reading the process for producing Becks Blue, all the non-alcoholic beer is produced in exactly the same way and then the alcohol is removed afterwards  That's why it tastes as near dam it as the "real" stuff!

Some rather good ones these days. Erdinger do a nice 0% Wheat Beer - as do Bavaria. I ould keep thinking of 'Benidorm' drinking Bavaria though.

Tried a few of these when I was told I couldn't drink anymore in 2000. Tasteless and over priced. Gave up quickly and stuck to soft drinks and then stopped going to the pub altogether as I couldn't handle watching my mates get addled every weekend and not being able to join in

Drinking a bottle of Bavaria as I type - and in response to Homer - it's one heck of a lot better than kalibar stuff of 10-15yrs ago. But like ANY lager - it has to be cold.

Clausthaler and Bitburger are both excellent.

Would suggest people try a blind tasting as there's a lot of prejudice from the old Kaliber days.

We have this at my golf club - must ask why we charge so much for it as it's equivalents are dead cheap in the soopies. I'm thinking that this is a ploy by the supermarkets to help them counter the alcohol minimum unit-pricing lobby. I don;t think it's a great coincidence that Cobra, Beck's Blue, Bitburger, Bavaria 0.0% or <0.05% etc have only very recently it seems appeared on the soopie shelves. I'm all for it :) More power to them. Add a little slice of lime - excellent!

I once sent my Mrs out to buy me some beer, she came back with Becks Blue....

After i released her from the under stairs cupboard, she was not asked to purchase beer again.

...and which is unfortunately why we are a nation full of piss-heads who are unable or unwilling to work because they've got hangovers - because having a drink means getting pissed - which it doesn't in the rest of Europe.

I was tea total for a while, and found this stuff really good. The Cobra 0% is even better though, hard to come by but well worth it. Kopperberg 0% cider is also great. Never found a decent 0% wine though.

Great if you fancy the taste of a drink without all the other **** that goes with it!

I can assure you that Europeans like to get just as bladdered as us brits.
