Kaz, if you are playing in Scotland you (now under WHS) calculate half the combined CH for each pair (without any intermediate rounding at all) then you round the result for each pair giving two integers, then make the subtraction. This way the exact 0.5 difference won't arise.

The calculator doesn't seem to make provision for Foursomes.

I know how you feel - we had to give 24 shots in our last foursome tie - we lost ....

When are you playing it? Enter a whole bunch of bad rounds between now and then! Sorted.
Every round I play at the moment is a bad one, so I'm not manipulating the system when I say that!

My bad scores are in - handicap soared to an ungodly 1.7. Have a couple of games before the tie but no scores due to come off so with any luck we’ll need to give even more shots!!
