£50,000 golf fees.......yes.

Think i will enquire if they do a country membership for us "weegies" (well originally a Paisley buddy) for £50 a month!!!!
 
I would sign up, cheap as chips, but I can't afford to pay the chauffeur to take me there.

Why so surprised? It's the way the world is going, vast numbers remaining dirt poor, the majority just rubbing along but an ever-increasing group of obscenely rich. And surely you don't think they will pay the 50-grand out of their own pockets? The membership will be paid for by one of their myriad companies as a legitimate corporate entertainment expense, attacting the appropriate tax deduction, of course.

would use the term quality 'links' course very losely,been and had a look at it late last year and to me land much like Archerfield across the way,not what I would term as 'links' nevertheless did lok quality!

Good for them, looks a decent place but you could get a much nicer nicer club.

At least its keeping all the snobs off our fairways.
 
Yes they are stupid in your eyes as well as mine. I dont know your wealth and disposable income but I guess £50k to some folk is the equivalent of me spalshing £100 on a new pair of golf shoes.
 
Agree on what you are saying but they are in a totally different world to the normal person and you are right what would you do with 50k not get a membership with it ........

Even if my numbers come up tonight I would never spend that much.

To me its just somewhere where snobs can lord it about, brag about there latest dealings and treat the staff like shite, the more wealthy people are the bigger tw@ts they tend to be from my experience.

Yes there are exceptions but the more down-to-earth people with megabucks are scorned upon by the wealthy snobs. Nothing gets on their tits more than a "common" man done good.

If i won the euro tonight i would join, give the staff huge tips for doing next to nothing and annoy and harangue any members who are rude and/or arrogant to the staff. Hate people who are rude or mean just because they think they can be cause of sense of power, money or a I'm better than you attitude.
