    Golfers being ripped off?

£65 for a football shirt! Now that is a rip off.

    Fairway mats and WHS

Unfortunately at our course, when we start playing off mats we also use winter tees and sometimes winter greens thus rendering the Measured Course requirement unoperable. We do however use a Winter Masterscoreboard and a Winter League which gives us a winter handicap for home competitions only.

    Golf tomorrow - anyone else

Absolutely brilliant day up here today, not a cloud in the sky or a breath of wind so it probably won't get dark until 18:45! . Enjoy Ashludie, as long as you don't get stuck behind the old buffers you should be fine.

    Golf tomorrow - anyone else

I played Kilspindie for the first time this summer. It was a roll over from the start of lockdown as we had booked to play their Seniors Open in 2020. I have played Gullane, Longniddry, Dunbar etc many many times over the years but never Kilspindie, but what a course! I simply loved it and will...

Limiting club length to 46 inches

I'm sure Paul Sturgess will have something to say about that! He is the World's tallest golfer at 7'7" tall!

    Driving license

Yes, I've still got mine in it's original plastic holder, in the bottom of a drawer. No endorsements or penalty points in almost 50 years of motoring and never been stopped by the polis. (I hope I'm not tempting fate!)

    Wet feet

Perhaps not under a hundred pounds, but for £150 you can get Ecco GoreTex. No need for waterproof socks and my current pair are over 4 years old, still waterproof and worn on average two times a week. That works out to about 40p a round!

    St Andrews Open 2022

The last train from Leuchars to Edinburgh appears to be 22:24 so a taxi from St Andrews to the station 6 miles away would probably be a good bet.

    St Andrews Open 2022

Expensive I'd guess. I would imagine there will be trains from Edinburgh to Leuchars and then connections to the course.

    Panic buying fuel

I was watching the London Marathon on TV this morning, and as the runners passed by petrol stations I didn't see a single person queuing for fuel!
