Tiger was the reason I started golf. Despite the social and very public disasters in his life, I still think he walks (or limps) on water.
He is a very intelligent individual, and he will be very aware of what is being said about him. I just think he enjoys getting out into a "proper"...
This morning that BBC lass was saying that we've had a month's worth of rain in the 10 days of April. That's on top of an extremely wet winter.
Nightmare! We are closed again today.
A small group of us go to Malaga area every October. Over the years, we have played nearly every course from there down and beyond Marbella. Santa Maria seems to be one that we have missed. Has anyone any experience of playing there? The reviews are mixed.....slow play, poor organisation, and...
I think I played once in December. Our course has been closed frequently during the past five weeks.
However, fingers crossed, I'll be out tomorrow, as I'm fairly confident that it will reopen.
Just as previous comments, I don't mind playing in the rain, but traipsing through mud, and looking...
Started golf at 51. Now 20 years later, I am playing to my lowest ever handicap of 8.4. I have a new knee, and plenty of metal in my body, but golf is the one sport that drives me to keep fit. I still enjoy it, and I reckon that if the day came that I wasn't enjoying it, I would find another...
Played over 25 different courses this year, not many by some standards on here, but the only new ones we were: Los Arqueros (forgettable), Santa Clara (not bad) and a nine hole course in Scotland called Traigh near Arisaig. Not the best course, but playing it in beautiful evening sunshine...
Basically.....if the Saudis want something, i.e. golf, football, etc etc, there is an unlimited fund of money to finance it. It's hardly a level playing field.
Every time I see Newcastle United or Man City beaten, I am secretly pleased, as, eventually skill wins the day. Unfortunately unlimited...
For me Tiger can walk on water. He went round that course at even par having hardly played.....and was the oldest in the tournament. He's the reason I took up golf in 2001, and I have no problem watching every shot he takes. I DO agree that the focus should be on the leaders.......but you are...
I manged to get down to 8.4 this year, and I'm almost certain that I will not get any lower than that.
However, I didn't start golf til I was 51, I don't suppose many folk start golf at that age and manage to get down to the magical 9.4.
No, I'm happy, target achieved, just need to make sure I'm...
Shipley G.C. in West Yorkshire for me, or more accurately The Shipley.
It's actually in Bingley, but it started in Shipley in 1896, then moved to Beckfoot in Bingley in 1921, Superb course.
