I don't even know why they still advertise the strap on the website any more. It just makes you think they'll be coming back into stock at some stage.
If you were to get a V5, I would keep using the V3 tags as long as possible. It will increase the longevity of the V5 and make it more saleable...
My strap packed up in December. I went to purchase a new one, but they were out of stock and they told me they would not be stocking them anymore.
They offered me an H4 at a discount, so I opted to get one.
I've had a V2 (obsolete) V3 (RFID in strap broke and couldn't be replaced) an X5 (too fiddly) and now have an H4.
Out of all of them, the H4 is probably the best, and most accurate once you get into the habit of tagging every shot.
If I hadn't got the H4, I probably would have got the V5. It...
As I mentioned, I've got a V3 and an H4. I take them out on the course together as the V3 track functionality has packed up, but it's quicker to use it to get distances than get the H4 out of my pocket.
Usually they show the same distances to the green and hazards. But occasionally, the V3 will...
I used a Shotscope V3 until the RFID in the strap broke and it stop tracking shots.
Now have an H4 which is much better in that if you remember to tag your club on every shot, it buzzes and never misses a shot. Even the putting is more accurate, but not perfect.
Remembering to tag the clubs is a...

If I was a good golfer and I was only going to play it once in my lifetime, then absolutely I would pay £320.
However I'm not, so would rather play 2 or 3 pretty decent courses for the same money.
Having said that, I played TOC, New and Jubilee for £190 in November in good weather (no rain) and...
As others have said, they seem to regain their tackiness when cleaned. So the simple answer for the op would be to carry a wet towel with him and wipe them down after every shot.
My tuppence worth, having not watched your swings, but read some of your comments above.
You just don't seem bothered/committed enough to solving any issues.
You don't like hitting balls at the range, but do it because you think it will help.
You won't get a lesson, which is just as well...
Not really a celeb but a Chelsea player from the late 60s/early 70s, Tommy Baldwin.
According to Wikipedia:
'It was thought that Baldwin was known as 'the sponge' for his ability, under pressure, to hold the ball and shield it skilfully from opponents while seeking an opening to set up an...
Really? I've been a member for a few years and nobody's ever told me that! I always get the first anyway when playing in club matches and with guests, so I haven't broken that rule, luckily.
