I learnt that playing 3 days in a row makes you bloody knackered, my short game is still crap, the greens haven't bedded in properly yet, which means my putting isn't improving, but the most important lesson I learnt, this is still the most enjoyable but frustrating game ever invented.
me and friends regularly use stroke and distance, rather than walking back to the tee to hit another ball, if you agree before hand i dont see anything wrong with this approach
Is the difference so much better than the club you are using at the moment?
Given the options that you have set i would rather have a club that i was confident hitting than worry about what others thought when the looked inside my bag, the difference is when i play better than them, as for the...
we all know that grounding your club in the bunker is a penalty but what is the ruling if you accidently drop your club as you enter the bunker, you do not move your ball or improve its lie in anyway, its just that your club has touched the sand?
Some of the traditions are welcome but some are just out of date and silly, i still dont like the idea of people wearing jeans/denim on the course, i have been trying to understand why i have an objection to them and i can't. Maybe its just as i said at the beginning, tradition. To add to the...
Was al lready to go for a round first thing this morning, but took the dog out first and decided it was too cold, i remember the days not so far back when i would have played in all conditions, yet today when its only 2 degrees and slightly breezey, i take the easy option and stay in the house...
Good shooting, but dont over analyse the shots that you left out there, mid to high handicappers always look back, ( in Fact every player i know) looks back at their round and rues the shots that they left out there, just enjoy the moment.
you hit 15 under your handicap? bandit doesn't even begin to explain that, if i was playing you the words might have been ever so slightly stronger, nice score though.
big question here, does it work? If it works for you and its a new grip, honestly do you really care, get the club out practice like hell and enjoy it.
I have just paid my dues to join a new club for myself and my son, to be honest if they had had a joining fee then i wouldn't have joined, it comes down to basic finance and with 2 teenagers now way i would be spending extra cash on an unneccesary expense, i would just have joined a different club.
Nothing against nike but there is no way i will be going out to buy any club just because they sponsor a certain player. its got to be what is right for me. Saying that i know that i am paying inflated prices because of how much the large companies are paying the pros.
on a side note there is a...
i would also rule out Kingsfield as well at the moment, very young 9 hole course, just before christmas i was asked to either carry a mat to play from or play from the rough, they have not long treated the fairways and want them i n good condition for the summer, they are using full greens...
