For me London was awesome - I couldn't get enough of it. ( plus the others before that but London obviously was the pinnacle)
This time however seems a bit "after the lord mayors show" so i do not have the same excitement about it. It doesn't help I will get to see very little of it on TV(am in...
looks to me to be completely overwhelmed since Augusta. I don't think he will win again until well after the next Masters. He will then be more relaxed, less pressured and will not have the "not won a major" monkey on his back. He will get back to winning.
Plus he has just had a kid, cant help...
Interesting to think about if we invented golf today what would it look like? As well as ditching the last 4-5 holes I also think caddies would be removed.
The comparison with Cricket is what should be looked at, 20-20 massive success, BUT, at the cost of test cricket. Only really tests in Eng are attended worth any serious numbers. WI players don't even bother with test matches anymore.
If they go for a shorter format in Golf they need to protect...
Thanks for all this very good stuff, J55TTC, this makes a lot of sense.
Will look around locally for kid group sessions, although where I am (Bangkok) seems to all about fleecing expats for as much money as they can get away with, don't think any of the local courses will do this, certainly not...
My son is starting to show some interest in the game his old man disappears for 5 hours a time to play.
I have found a couple of second hand clubs for him to hit on a driving range, but he now says he wants to play on the "green field" with me.
I am no coach and have tried to install the...
He was and more like a 48 inch waist, Agree that its hard times so clubs cant be too stuffy. i think the thing that was worst about his attire was a baseball top, think the club should have drawn a line there.
i reserve the right to be stuffy, carded a 7 after seeing him!
Played yesterday, great day but there were 3-4 players (in different groups) that were dressed in outfits more suited to a circus.
Not that i have a issue with colour but these guys resembled more of a fancy dress night out than a golfer. My point is, that it tarnished the image of this course...
I have a very annoying habit - whenever i hit a good straight drive whilst it is in the air i say "yep" dont know why i just do i turn round to see my playing partner on the floor laughing!
I think Murli and malinga both throw it. But tests will show there action is within the rules.
They need to change to rules because they throw it and gain an advantage.
If these actions were in my village league i and everyone else would call them for chucking.
I often say that if i was playing in the masters some one would have found my ball and i would not have to pay the penalty of losing a ball.
now that i probably loose a ball once every two rounds on average that may not make too much of a differnce. If you do regulary loose 1 or 2 balls a...
Agree with RGDave
Get a gap wedge and then become more consistant with all your clubs.
When you think a lob wedge will help your game, get one, but i would say gap is the first buy of the two.
I had to descibe the company i work for in 5 words, and found it bloody hard.
how about descirbing this great game in 5 words then?
my opening gambit "the best and worst sport"
thats the best i can come up with! for the time being anyway
