Played 9 holes in pouring rain with 5 others in the Fiddle. I was keen to go out as wanted to try out contacts for the first time and new waterproof shoes. Contacts worked well but shoes had wetness around the heels but not surprising given the rain and sodden ground . Waterproof trousers...

Have heard Shrewsbury have over 700 members so that could be why prices low ?

Played what has to be the wettest course I've ever played , it never closes as part of the Burhill group apart from snow . Seriously if I had to pay what they do in membership fees I'd be packing up
