not true a good weight transition and timing of the arms coming through will generate better distance rater then just trying to swing faster and smash the ball out the park...
question is why bother trying to hit the ball a long way when the next club or 2 down with get you the yardage you...
:D What do you mean by that :D
You can't change a ball during a hole unless it's damaged but you can change to a new ball on every hole if you want to :D
you can change a ball during a round if it is damaged and providing your notify your playing partner / card marker. not sure you can...
yes but your not allowed to change the ball when on the dance floor with ball set up to aid alignment for putting. you got use the same ball all round the course.
prefer your lie of the ball anywhere on the course except in a hazard. you must mark it before lifting and replace within 6inch of mark. you may clean the ball.
I know all about it pal finished my degree in 06...stick in there worth it in the end. I studyed antecendents of anxiety in competitive golf players. good luck!
I dont think 10 shots is enough to find an average from that dispersion and then to rely on that info for that club. It wouldnt inspire confidence for me...I disagree that taking the average is best way to calculate distances as its not specific enough.
How did you get to 11 if you never try...
I agree, you need draw from long term memory and repetition in practice is a top principle of learning. you need to know if you choose a particular club and swing 9 to 3 it will travel x distance everytime. muscle memory comes replicating the stoke in your practice swing drawn from your LTM.
You need to get fit on flight scope or other swing monitor.
Two simple things you need to know.
The Shaft options are very important its like the engine of the club. Reg Vs Stiff will be determined by your swing speed. They type of launch you want from the driver is important and different...
Ive just had a short game lesson from my local pro.
I worked on 3 shots. Pitching from 15, 25, 40, 60, 80, 100 yrds. Chip and run from around the green and Flop shot over bunkers and banks from differnt lies.
There was perhaps a little too much in the lesson to take in as it lasted 2hrs...
Ok so I won the Captains Drive in and played some great golf. Off 13.1 with a 78 gross I made 43 points. Found out im not getting cut as its not a handicap qualified...
So mixed feelings...want my handicap down as my aim for the season is 10 and won so happy but early in the year and with 13.1...
Typo oops...hit 125-135 PW, around 165 - 175 6 iron.
Although yesterday I flew a par 4 in one landing the ball 20 ft from the pin. Tee to green 283yrds according to my GPS. I HIT a 4IRON...thank god that Taylormade Burners where invented!
PS missed eagle...missed birdie! gutted!
I currently play with Titleist NXT Tours, a new ball for this year as the pro v1 was just to soft.
Im getting on great with them so far in comps...but as im taking golf a bit more seriously this year should I purchase NXT Tours to practice with?
It could be expensive but should you practice...
