I think you have misunderstood my post. Absolutely, golfers themselves are part of the issues, I agree with that. I never said all golf coaches were bad. Bit of a sweeping statement that.

There's already loads of these apps kicking about. Swing Coach by AMG is the best one by far and will be hard to beat.

All very well knowing yardages but then you factor in temperature, wind, rain, elevation and slope.. That 150 carry you think you have could end up being anything between 100-200

Muirfield definitely has a shop. It's not quite your traditional pro shop though. I've heard stories of guys who tried to go but were told no. You can only get into the building in golf gear, and can only access certain rooms in your shirt and tie etc.
