First hole @ Winterfield GC (Dunbar) - 228y - 200y carry over a sunken fairway. Take it on and leave yourself short of the gulley and you are in thick rough with a mad stance!
Good evening,
Considering a 1 night/ 2 rounds thing over the next week and don’t want to play using mats on the fairway (or winter greens).
Any suggestions for the fife / Angus region? If not anywhere you’d recommend within a 3h drive of Scotland’s central belt?
Thanks
Looks like a great way to enjoy a week of competitive golf for good value.
Out of interest - do any of the other top courses have similar events (rather than on day opens)?
Joined Goswick recently and played yesterday afternoon with a friend - matchplay.
All Square after six, six holes lost on the spin to end up shaking hands on the 13th. Very windy (Driver + 3w in to the par 4s and still short) but great fun.
Roll on next weekend to make up for it!
Have only played the Brabazon and paid a reduced rate and recall it being a 5h+ round. Happy to tick off the list golf wise but a very good setup for a night away and food/drinks.
Expect to pay a lot for F&B and a rowdy atmosphere. I recall one group badgering a waiter with questions around...
Thanks for the feedback so far. The guilty shirt was a Glenmuir so will use that length as a starting point.
(Maybe need to drop some weight too so the top to bottom distance isn't used up inefficiently ;))
Hello,
A newbie to the forum. Having played twice this weekend in the sunshine and without need for a jumper, I kept having my polo shirts 'untuck' themselves with full shots. A little embarrassing at some of the more traditional clubs!
Any recommendations of brands with longer fits?
Thanks...
