Yup, I would try the PXG 0211 route. Nice feel, sound and forgiving, at the same time good looking irons, which don’t look chunky or too game improvementy. I got them in Elevate shaft, stiff flex and midsize grip. Made an inch longer and not a penny more.

PXG are now doing their 0221 irons for £65 an iron. Driver now under £200.

The AP3 irons are a cracking looking set, I had them for a while. Just couldn’t get away with a poor shot with them at all. Players distance iron, as opposed to game improvement.

Power bats with 43 deg PW, same set 48 GW. SM8s at 54 & 58. Previously had 52, 56 and 60 but had the 60 as an occasional club. Still use the 54 for most shots from bunker or around green.

I placed an order for 0211 irons to my spec, which were delivered in 5 weeks. I thought that was decent.

Pxg 0211DC irons down to £75 each online at pxg. I made a half set up few months back to try, enjoyed them and now filling the gaps. Good options for customising as well?
