I was on a trip to Edinburgh last week for a couple of days, over from Ireland.
Decided to take a trip out to St Andrews to see the place. Got totally sucked in by the town and everything around there.
Took a walking tour of the course, found it excellent. Visited the World Golf Museum. Went...
The obvious big issue now is smartphones and access to gambling 24/7. Previously we all spotted guys with issues because they'd be physically seen in betting shops.
Now a guy could be at home tonight blowing his family's budget for the week and nobody even knows it's happening
Watched a couple of holes and stopped, it was horrendous stuff to try watch.
I saw that about the sponsorship, no such thing as a "friendly" betting company especially if they're taking your money. Try telling that to the family of a gambling addict. A strange sponsor seeing as Tubes himself...
Kinda found viewing a bit underwhelming or something. I suppose it all went as predicted without any real drama. Not Scottie's fault obviously but kinda thought it lacked the usual buzz of major final round
How about Matt Fitzpatrick as a contender? If he could finish out the day around the -2 mark I'd give him a decent chance of being in the mix come Sunday evening
I see Jason Day was asked by the chairman of Augusta to remove the jumper. It's obviously a brutal look but at same time it shows how stuck up Augusta are with their rules and traditions
This one is irritating too, all the Sky presenters obviously warned about what phrases to use. McGinley is a fellow Irish man but he's turning more American by the week. Over the years he was always spoken about positively around Ireland as a lovely man but the Ryder cup seems to have gone to...
I thought there was some article last week where a few caddies were surveyed and they hated them, too hot and uncomfortable while trying to carry a tour bag around. If I can find it I'll link the article
I enjoy the Masters but does anyone find some of the traditions, language around the tournament a bit cringe at this stage. Like calling spectators patrons, etc.
Also what are the thoughts on the caddies still wearing the boiler suits? Seen as a tradition but a bit of a throwback to the era of...
Rory's -1 doesn't look anything special but I think it's a decent round. Hasn't opened well at Augusta with a while. Playing with Scottie when he's scoring well can't be easy, think Rory stayed patient and didn't try to force anything to try catch Scottie. Tomorrow obviously will be important if...
