Sad, sad news.
first visit to the site in quite a while, shocked to hear of Rick's sudden passing.
Always enjoyed his posts and was always rooting for him to do well in the competitions he played nationally and kept us updated on.
RIP Rick
I recommend the Sunice Hampton windshirt. - £16
I have one, very light and breathable. Protects well against the wind which seems to be a constant at Ellesborough!
There are 2 colours at £16 and 2 at £39 so watch out if you are looking at it.
When referring to the group in front and Declaring "I will never reach them" you hit the drive of your life and it soars towards them as if Laser Guided.
All Drives from the group behind which land anyway remotely close, should prompt a death stare from all members of your group.
Laying up on...
I had 2 bioflow bracelets but now have a powebalance which is cheaper and more durable. The bioflow are very flimsy and the magnet fell out of my last one.
I was sceptical also, but was willing to try anything to allow some relief from the dull ache I have in my left wrist. Broke my scaphoid...
Re: The Force Awakens
Huge Star wars fan and have close links to Mark Hamill. Not the one in the movie - my brother :)
Surname is Hamill and he was a Star Wars nut when we were kids. I actually enjoyed the Phantom Menace too! one of the rare few. My brother in law is also a mega fan - he...
going for a D.
only exceeded my handicap once all year -37 points in a rollup which was not a qualifier. In terms of Handicap it was an F, but I have enjoyed the golf at the new club, even the bad days.
Changed clubs over winter so had a big learning curve, also changed my irons which...
Maybe that time of year? started running 3 weeks ago and playing badminton on thursday nights. Legs are feeling it so far, but aim is getting back to my GAA weight which was about 86 kilos. Currently at 93 kilos, so shaved off 2 kilos already since I started.
good little starter site below -...
Hate shopping also, so buy most things online. My wife is the same now and even our grcery shop is done online. Like the ability to quickly research or check reviews on a product which you have stumbled upon.
Alas, it was not to be.
another 0.1, despite a good back 9. Lost it on the first 6 holes but not matter, tis only a game.
You beat your starting handicap, so are a deserving winner. Well done mate.
will pay the £5 now
Good idea, but more fixtures will cause problems for the club fixtures. Played inter county up to u21 before I moved to london. Enjoyed the gaa scene in london before eventually packing it in.
I have one last comp before I admit defeat. Been a long hard season, with not even a buffer to keep the spirits buoyed.
A Little spark of something in the last 4 holes on Sunday has give me the slimmest of slim hopes that I can at least buffer this weekend. Will give it my all before parting...
I can relate to the OP here.
I am 35 with 2 young kids, been a member of a golf course for 6 years now. Its becoming harder to dedicate the time needed to progress and my enthusiasm is starting to wane.
Joined a new club this year and enjoyed the new challenge that has presented, but that...
well played mate!
That could be the nail in the coffin. I am up to 14.5 :(.
One comp left before HFH, will need something special to beat you now - but who knows!
