We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!
We won our 2 person 4BBB qualifier on Saturday. Yellow tees, 85% handicap as placing throughout the course.
Myself and my partner finished on 45 points - helped by my partner having 5 birdies on the back 9 - playing off of 9.
Was a sensational finish to the round.
Surprised barely anyone has said beer.
In the summer, nothing better than taking a few cans for the stroll - especially for a 9 holer after work on a Friday.
Usually I've got a Red Bull or Lucozade in my bag just for general consumption.
This sticks out in my head at Farleigh Golf Club on the Blue loop. I love an elevated par 3.
I also love the 2nd at Singing Hills. Very Sawgrass-esque.

Better than I thought!
And back to normal yesterday. Entered the Stableford on Sunday after my ridic round on Saturday and finished 29 points. I haven't in fact - sussed golf.
Broke 80 for the first time - out of nowhere. Went round the same course last week and posted a 92. Today - everything clicked I was on fire. Left shots out there too. Now to break 75!
Absolutely I agree. Those who are retired are out every single day, rain or shine at 7am. I can only do the weekends and evenings in the summer. If you play more, you pay more init.
Our club has always been a very senior club. We're trying to find the next generation of golf because I'd say at least 80% of our club are over 50.
If you don't like the fact that 35 year olds get a discount - they're not the only group :D
£1376 annual subs for our course in West Sussex.
But I'm between 30-35 so I pay £846.
It's a pretty good deal for the Spring/Summer as the course plays beautifully and I live 5 minutes away so can stroll over for 9 whenever. But the drainage is appalling and in the winter we are regularly...
Also there are plenty of times I'm in quite thick rough and I feel as if I can reach the green, only for it to go 10 yards forward and 20 yards sideways.
Really I should just play a sensible 100 yard shot out rather than trying to cream it.
That surprises me actually. RS has one of, if not the most successful YouTube golf channels, partnerships with various brands including Lyle and Scott and TopTracer. He has a podcast which must drive traffic and revenue so for him to sign up to a service saying hello and happy birthday for £40 a...
This has to be my hole/shot of the year. Unfortunately wasn't in a comp or anything, just in general play with friends.
SI 18 - relatively short Par 5. Was hitting driver really badly so decided to hit irons of the tee. Was at the height of summer where the ball was flying miles and bouncing...
