Depends how and when you play it. Mon to Fri players such as myself with course clear, I can get round in 2 hours and am going at a fair lick with heart rate well up.
A fair percentage of my iron shots are 'thwacked' short but on line with the strike well towards the toe of the club.
Are there any drills or techniques to help improve this aspect of play or is this just hand-eye co-ord which is issued at birth by the Head Starter and I'm stuck with it?
Just for info (!!) it is not just that. It also is affected by COR of club and ball and by the Spin rate. A heavier club in the hands of a stronger player (all other things being equal) would also deliver a higher smash rate.
