    Random Irritations

To enhance it, stay sat in the car with the lights on and then when people drive past to ask if you're leaving, just shake your head. 😈

GPS vs. Laser Rangefinders What Do You Actually Use on the Course?

I'm exactly the same. I have a Shotscope V3 which does me for pretty much everything. If we're on temp greens then generally I'm not too worried.

    Films

We watched Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning last night. Maybe it's just need but I was singularly underwhelmed by this film. Over the top story, to many holes in the plot, excessively long stunt scenes which I finished up laughing out loud at. And Tom Cruise should enter the 200, 400...

    2025 Ifour Christmas quiz

No, the dog and the speechb bubble are one clue. Think of dog and the particular part of the day the time covers, not the specific time.

    2025 Ifour Christmas quiz

Blimey, you're doing better than me. For the dog as @SteveW86 said, say what you see. It's a 3 word film about a bank robbery.

    2025 Ifour Christmas quiz

It's not a horse or a donkey. Think of a combination of the two.

    2025 Ifour Christmas quiz

"Amazing.. not" I have the answer but just guessed a famous film, and I still can't get the link! Hint: Gregory Peck The turkey or whatever it is flying under that. It's not a turkey. Think of the colour and the type of bird. There are two bears to the left of the black hat, two separate...

    Random Irritations

Just completed my annual review form and been asked to complete my targets for FY26, despite the fact I am retiring at the end of January! I'm not moaning about my manager, he knows its daft as well. Just box ticking. And don't get me started on the Workday software. That's a PITA as well.

    Things That Gladden The Heart

Not everybody here is old enough to remember the Cosmos series with Carl Sagan, but it was a seminal piece of work for the time. I was listening to a programme about him and this was mentioned. It still gives me goose bumps 45 years on.

    Dementia Awareness

Very hard to know what to add to this Tash. You're trying to do your best but things like this happen out of your control. I'm sure you'll fed this back a it matters not just to your dad, but also to other people who need the same support. And push. People will try to find you off, so keep a...

    Winter Bugs

I've been fine but I think I'm at an advantage. - I've had every jab I've been offered - I grew up in Widnes and if you can survive the chemicals there you can probably survive anything!

    Waterproof jacket and trousers recommendations

I have Sunice Gore-Tex waterproofs I bought from Sports Direct a few years ago and still going strong. They did seem to leak a bit at first until I realised I could reactivate the GoreTex in a tumble dryer (very difficult in a heat pump as it keeps turning off). Comfortable and waterproof now...
