Has anyone had a bizarre thing to do at work today??

To be honest, the RSPCA are bleeding useless with anything more unusual than a dog or a cat. Trying to get them to do anything relating to horses, for example, is just pointless! As to what he's up to... Otter-based machinery theft? You wouldn't suspect them, would you?

    Weather Update

Four inches in Forres, two to three in Nairn - it was stonking it down all night. It's trying occasionally to snow again for a couple of minutes at a time but right this moment it's blue skies here in Forres and it's melting away quite quickly. RobC.

    Any computer Techies among us?

Sounds like it's a Cable broadband connection rather than the traditional copper wire ADSL connection. Good if you can get it, but if you were in a Virgin cable area over here (like Andy's mate will be) they are literally chucking capacity at you. For your intended use of watching live...

    Prov1's Worth the Money

As a high handicapper I was using the Srixon distance balls and quite liked them, although I did spin a few shots off to the right. Played a corporate day at Castle Stuart in October and was given a sleeve of Titleist NXT Tours to use. Didn't think anything of it, but was playing a fair bit...

Quite a few of the Architects that I do work for think Google Sketchup is brilliant. Apparently the free version is quite well featured too. RobC.

    Home conmputing help please

Re: Home computing help please Simple way to find out - if you think it's too good to be true then it is! Those WD 2Tb drives are on Amazon for £150 and they are generally one of the cheaper suppliers so it makes you wonder where he's getting them from that he can sell them at that sort of...

    Petrol price variance

There was a bit of an outcry up here a few months ago when Tesco was found to have cheaper prices in Elgin than in Inverness. Ordinarily, not an issue apart from the fact that: a) All of the fuel for the area comes in to Inverness Harbour on a bulk tanker b) Funnily enough, Elgin has an ASDA as...
