Thanks again for the replies. Current list of courses is based on friends previous visits. Don't know the area at all, but Wrekin, Telford G&C (earlier post) and Shifnal look good options.
Llany and Ludlow are looking definite additions, just trying to keep the driving down to as minimal as...
Hi,
Have got a weekend golfing in Shrewsbury in September. Currently looking at playing Oswestry & Llanymynech but need another good course to play at. Shrewsbury golf club looks OK but i'm after advice on whether there are any courses near to Shrewsbury that would be seen/ classed as better or...
Given it's not in doors and not affecting anyone else health wise is the only issue the images beamed to the TV viewing public? If enough people complain and find it offensive should it not be down to the TV companies to choose whether to show or not show it? After all, i'm not aware of many pro...
With new irons (i15 inc part-ex), green fee's, golf weekend away, driving range, other courses, i expect i'm looking at the best part of £1500 to £2000 - worth every penny as well!! :D
Back 9 at Powfoot on this years holiday in September. Scored 31 points in total - 10 on the front 9 :D On the back 9 i birdied 13 & 14 and lipped out on the next 3 for more birdies, finishing with a regulation par on the last. Also, playing Southerness in what was classed as 'calm' conditions...
Luckily i don't or i would never have any money!! :D Though, just bought my Ping i15's from there week on Saturday ago and got a very good deal on part ex
Cheers
Just a thought but this would be a nice 'side' competition at your local golf club. Be a good warm up for a lot of people before an actual comp if people wanted the option to participate and if done over the course of the season, provide a good measure of improvement, or not!
Many a time i've...
Not the heaviest putter in the world but i use a Ping Zing 2 - and at £65 (probably less now) not bad value at all. Had a 2 Ball before it and the Zing is much better for me and feels slightly heavier.
Try Eagle Golf in Leeds - got a stack of putters you can try in the shop.
Very good post - certainly one that has raised a lot of different points of view. I do agree that some courses are harder than others - but thats not necessarily because the course is x hundred yards longer.
From my experience, it really depends about how you play on the day. I've been to...
Right now i'd go with a gap wedge, something between 50-54 degrees if you are to purchase anything. Suggest you go second hand then your not laying out loads of cash for something you may decide you don't want.
You would be better off (IMO) having a lesson or 2 on your short game and asking a...
I agree with a lot of the comments already made and i think, like any sport, if you have started from an early age and got a good grounding early on plus have a natural talent, that for me is the key difference between the good low handicappers and the really good (4 to +X) golfers - no offence...
Gone from 7.7 to 9.1 this year so back to an even 8 would be good. If i get to play more than once a week on a regular basis this should be achievable.
