Yep that makes sense.
I’m 93mph with 7 iron and use Callaway Apex TCB. Great irons with more traditional lofts, and still plenty forgiveness.
You are on the right lines with some of the irons you’ve suggested though. Just need to go test some out before buying.
Kind of amazed at some of the responses in this thread. This is a really really common issue, especially since covid times. Loads of young, athletic guys taking up golf that have tons of club head speed but still need some help.
This is a common issue with P790, and why I personally think P770...

In a business that size, there will be newer staff that won’t be as knowledgable as others etc. They use the same fitting training as the PGA does. So with experience along with that training they should be as good as anyone.
Static measurements are merely a guide. And Almost impossible to measure up wrong 😅
Might be interesting to book a fitting nowadays and make a more updated judgement.
My own business “years and years” ago was not as good as it is now. Times change.
I’ve worked for several brands and...
Handicap is irrelevant. Seen so many professionals and + handicap golfers that are terrible fitters. And also high handicap golfers that are incredible fitters.
