no idea. have a feeling the price on the "golf society" page is an out of date one.
just to clarify - I wasn't trying to say the price was bad. it's just the going rate these days and still a good deal considering the normal green fee, but can see how people might feel like it's getting out of hand
Priced on the basis of 24 (which is the minimum for a society day), but probably had 32 at each in the end - would have been the same price for 24 though
Don't think this is entirely accurate. I played a society day there in 2022 for £320 and then in 2023 for £360 - whilst at the time, the headline society rate quoted on the website was much higher, in reality my understanding is that they would pretty much give any group that asked a discount
Still a few, but tend to be harder to get to and often up north, e.g. Seacroft, Seaton Carew, Goswick, Perranporth, Cavendish, etc. But agree price of green fees has gotten v silly
Have you played recently? The works over the last couple years have been phenomenal. Played two rounds there last month and thought it was up there with the 3 Ws, Berkshire, etc. - in fact, I have no doubt that once the changes have bedded in over the next few years, it'll climb the rankings...
Sadly have a match that day, otherwise would have been all over this. Only played there the once a few years ago when I was fairly new to the game, so would love to give it another go at some point
