Vale da Pinta 11:27
Silves 11:33
Gramacho 12:36
Alto 09:45
I'm guessing a little, but to give the best chance of getting a buggy I'd say you need a Tee time before 11am
Like you say, most groups of us holiday golfers can't recover from the night before for...
We've just returned from a four round, long weekend in Alvor.
All four courses were Pestana owned (Alto, Gremacho, Silves & Pinta) and none of them allowed pre-booking of buggies.
Our group size was 16, so 8 buggies required.
Whilst we did manage to get enough buggies each day it was a bit iffy...
I've got the Cleveland CBX2 wedges in 50, 54 & 58 degrees
I chose the lofts to get decent gapping and the bounce was just what came as standard (11, 12, 10 degrees respectively).
Cleveland state the bounce and the sole grinds were chosen to give the best results for the typical shot types for...
We had our club championships this weekend and the starter specifically told every group that free relief can be taken from any cracks in the general area.
Our course is on clay so can get quite large cracks opening up in really dry weather.
I don't know if this LR was only introduced for the...
Our greens are very good: receptive, fast and true.
Our fairways are mostly good, but some have bare patches that have been re-seeded but are not recovering well, and since we're on clay they are prone to cracking in this dry weather.
The tees are okay but most of them could do with re-levelling...
Went on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it, will definitely look to go to more LET events.
Feels like you are able to get closer to the action than in the men's events, but that might just be this course.
Overall great experience, even though the food prices were eye wateringly high!
A lack of honesty about the quality/condition of the course.
Too many place claim to be "Championship" courses or "Best course in the county" only to turn out to be pretty average.
I've had an Evnroll for a couple of years and really love it.
It's the ER5 so a mallet and therefore not quite the same as you are looking at, but still...
I think the tech probably has a beneficial effect, but the main thing is that my putting has improved since I got it.
I'm not claiming any...
East Sussex National in 2019. Had heard good things about it but when we went for a long weekend playing both courses, it was very disappointing.
We were there in late summer after a prolonged dry spell, but even so, the fairways were so burnt they were peeling!
The practice areas were chewed...
I had the V1, then the V2 and now the V3 which is a definite improvement on the earlier ones.
There is some editing to be done after each round, but it's normally only tweaks, like adding penalties if I didn't do it on the course or adjusting putting strokes for gimmies etc.
I've not noticed any...
