Start 9.9
End 8.1
High 10.3
Low 8.1
Best round 5.3
Worst round 18.0
Average of all scores in 2025 - 11.4
26 counting scores, nearly all competitions. My 10.3 was after two rounds in April when a bunch of good scores dropped off, but since then it fell steadily through the year.
Good short...
they have created a rated winter course this year at our place so you can put in a GP - though quite why anyone would want to is beyond me. Winter is for match play
i used the V3 Shotscope for a year or so (though now only use it for GPS).
The tagging and tracking was pretty good, and with the strokes gained stats you can see your weaknesses in your game.
it does get a bit fiddly when you need to go and edit your shots when it misses some, especially putts...
was pleasantly surprised to see they have rated a winter course at our place including changing the stroke indexes to something a lot more sensible.
Winter rules start in our winter league tomorrow but we dont move to winter course until 1 Nov.
Just back from two days at Turnberry. KRTB on Monday then Ailsa yesterday.
Place is very impressive (if expensive!!). Ailsa is truly incredible, probably right in #1 on my best courses
Would upload some photos but they are too large
Edit managed to do it

we had a 2 man scramble in our member/guest invitation day a couple of weeks ago. -8 was the best gross score (from a 3 and 4 hcp).
2 man seemed a lot more enjoyable as a) you felt more involved and b) with it being two man you had a pair scoring for you so results were a lot more trustworthy!
I think the whole world seems to agree - EVEN if he is right (which im doubting given the lack of hard evidence), why would you keep going back to somewhere where you are disliked so much ? he keeps accross as very immature and petulant
i saw something that the clubs insurance company couldnt be bothered to fight it and just compensated him.
why would you want to let someone who sued your club (and assume cost you money) keep playing??
