I love these proactive, which are often unliked, approaches to course management in periods of poor weather/winter.
I think there should be even more emphasis and onus placed on playing individuals to look after their asset; it boils my p1$$ when I see members not repairing pitch mark, divots...
Golf Youtubers are there for their own benefit. living their dream'; and whilst you may benefit from a tip or two, your overall game would be far better served by a qualified teaching pro who can address the whole. Take a few lessons with a few different coaches and see where the chemistry is...
This particular question is covered in the rules quiz section on the R&A website, https://www.randa.org/quiz (I can't remember if it is in the beginner or intermediate quiz).
If the ball touches any part of the line marking GUR, then relief should be taken.
Likewise, free relief should also taken if a ball comes to rest in a bush or tree that is overhanging vertically outside the marked GUR, if the bush 'originates' within the area marked.
I'm a real tinkerer when it comes to shafts. I find they have so much more influence on my game compared to heads. I think I'll be flipping it quite soon, and finding a stiff.

I received a reply from EG:
"In this case you will need to remove the score intent by swiping left on it within the MyEG app as currently scores can only be verified by members of affiliated golf clubs in England or iGolf subscribers.
The R&A/USGA are working with the IT providers around the...
Not a society. First year was a 2 ball, and last year as a 4, booked online direct with Woburn.
IIRC they call it their 'autumn/winter saver' (or some such) and it runs from Nov-March. You can play as many holes as you think you can manage; only the first 18 of the day is actually booked onto...
The past 2 years we have played Woburn Marquess and then the Dukes course for a 'day ticket' price of £120pp. This included breakfast before the 1st 18 and carvery lunch in between.

I've been a big fan and advocate for the WHS since its launch as I can see its benefits and what it is trying to achieve.
However, a scenario played out this week which has caused me to reign in my praise for it and has caused some mild dissatisfaction about how the system is implemented and...
