    Playing MacDonald Linden Hall

played it for a couple of years but moved on due to poor drainage meaning it was unplayable when other courses were open I know they have been trying to improve this so it should be better now. a great layout but it is quite a walk with some decent gaps between holes. take it easy on the 1st if...

    longest round ever !?!?!

My 8yr old has recently started on the course with the club academy. I think the club do warn members though so if they want to tee off behind they have to be prepared! One of the things I find (in being a parent walking with them) is that you always have to remind them to speed up, have their...

    What should I purchase??

What's wrong with the Wilson Drivers? I use the same one and have been hitting it quite well recently. I know they may not have the Kudos of some of the 'big names' but how much better can a R11 or whatever actually be? Still, I've got nothing against buying kit because it looks good, but don't...

I know you were joking, no worries :) Good luck getting booked, and hope you do well. Not sure I'll make it along there but if I do will keep an eye out for you. Hopefully you will be teeing off late on day 3 ;)

    Anyone fancy one of these?

Might be okay for a casual holiday round, does it turn into a putter as well? :)

    Naff golf gifts

Got bought a small round spirit level for golf greens last Xmas! This was from the wife of a friend who used to play golf as a 2 handicapper :D His face was a picture when I opened it as he didn't have a clue! Mind, it's in my bag, and gets the odd laugh when I pull it out in friendlies.

    Throwing clubs

been at the PGA Seniors tourney at Slaley today, was speaking to a chap who was there yesterday. He said Sam Torrance practically demolished an advertising board after he miscued, his ball bounced off it and ended up in the rubbish! Apparently an official removed the pieces, leaving a post in...

That's a shame, only heard about it today, and assumed it was on the weekend. At work but might try and take a half day to come along. Your best bet if you want cheap will be a B+B in Morpeth or, there is plenty, and it is a decent town with plenty eateries and bars etc. only 5 minutes drive to...
