Pitching from 70 yards and in is a constant problem.How do you find the right distance without either flying over the back of the green or coming up short with that demoralising knowledge that you have to get up and down in 2 shots?????

Thanks Owen sounds like something to try on monday when i play next. Have heard of this technique before and i will try anything to improve.

I think it wouldnt matter what you put with. if your only playing once a fortnight, stick with what you have got because you wont improve that much if at all unless you practice. Thanks,that was positive!

Thanks for the advice,i was thinking of having a few lessons but i only play about once a fortnight and am not too sure if i would feel the benefit. My driving is generally pretty good but my putting is starting to disilusion me and my game!

I am struggling to line up my putts and after a couple of years playing with a blade putter i was wondering if any of you could help! I don't know whether to go for a mallet style putter as i have been told that this may help my alignment problems but would adding extra weight solve my short...

The winds may have been worse in Portugal but i think the PGA players may have just shaded it as they also play in windy conditions but still manage to make birdie putts. I am of the opinion that whatever the conditions are,they are the same for everyone out there.
