which screw are you referring to.. Actual photo attached now. Also i realised that we have a latch on the inside face plate (see arrow on second photo). Previously it would turn 90 degrees to lock/unlock. Now that is spinning around like a top.

Best advice.. Just get a port replicator/hub off amazon... you will be fine. the ports on the LHS may have a hardware failure, do they show up in ur device manager?
