    How's your day gone tash.

Hi Tashy Sorry to hear it's not gone well this week. Not surprised though, early days so lots of emotion. Have they talked about going through mediation? If they can get the basics sorted with somebody impartial guiding the discussion it can help (and be cheaper) - and the kids aren't around...

    Divorce advice.

Hi Glad you found my post useful, hopefully your family's experience will be better. Only your daughter will know if there is any hope in trying again. I've been there, done that too, which is a whole different story I won't bore you with. Will happily take the shandy at some point tho ;-)...

    Divorce advice.

Is that for your ex or her solicitor, or both? :D Divorce Solicitors can advise anything from doing it amicably to going for the maximum financial benefit regardless of the consequences - but in the end they do have to do what the client tells them. I got my decree absolute in March after 2...

    Belton woods v's Belton Park.

Belton Woods is a Hotel / Golf / Spa 'resort' - caters a lot for weekend / overnight breaks and society days. Weekends are usually busy, not sure about week days. I've played there a few times, long courses but Ok. Not played Belton Park, but believe it is more of a traditional Golf 'Club'...

Anyone Know Anything About Vintage Watches

I inherited my Grandfathers watch which hadn't been worn in about 30 yrs when I got it. I went through the same process and got mine serviced by an independent guy in Leicester (I can send you details if interested) who did a good job for a decent price and did exactly what I asked - movement...

    Crash Dieting

A few tips from me after losing weight over the past year Cut down on simple sugars - in drinks, cakes, biscuits, processed food, check ingredients - it's amazing what it goes into. It's hard to do if you go fully cold turkey Pasta, rice, potatos & bread - cut them out if you can, curry is...

Advice on a driver for a newbie please

Would be good to try out a few if you can, but if you're happy to buy off eBay without trying I'd suggest one of the MD Superstrong range. A quick look on ebay and you can get a new ST2 for less than you are looking at paying, I play this and am very happy with it. You could even get the updated...

Just before I pull the trigger....

You can't go wrong with Worksop for £22. I play Norwood regularly but it's not in the same class as Worksop

    Dunlop DP1- V3 golf balls

Popped into European Golf yesterday to restock - priced £19.99 on the shelf but got them to check their own website price and they dropped them to £15. Not sure if Sports Direct stores would do the same but they are the same company. Also, speaking to the guy in the shop, he said he's gone on...

    Dunlop DP1- V3 golf balls

They are £15 at SportsDirect and EuropeanGolf Online now if you can get to a shop rather than pay delivery charges. I'll be picking some more up soon

    Dunlop

The DP1 V3 are a decent ball, a step up from the AD333 I was playing, which you'd expect from a 3 piece. Now around £15 pd dozen so what's not to like. Not played the rest of the ball range. Dunlop trousers (the std not the pro) tend to be very 'baggy'.

    GPS watches

And I should have said that you can do all of this stuff, but you don't have to - I just use Front, Middle, Back and Hazard distances - which I expect speeds up play ;)

    GPS watches

I've got the Snooper Shotsaver SG255X and love it. Front middle and back, all hazards, par, scoring, SI, distance walked, time taken, etc. Only thing it doesn't easily do is marking positions for individual shot distances. 30,000 courses on board and no subscription fees for just over £100. The...

    Worst Golf Ball ever?

Depends on which CXR - The CXR Power - yep agree as per the above The CXR Control though is not a bad ball IMHO. A 3 piece for £12 pd!! Played most of this season with them and performed better than the AD333

    One Handed Chipping

Practiced chipping a lot 1 handed in the garden last year when I had my injury. Still play 2 handed but my confidence around the greens and my par scrambling stats have improved massively.
