Not a lot you can do when it is announced the morning of the competition that we will be on temporary greens, Ladies section run and organize our own competitions but have no control over the course setup.
Yesterday was our first competition of the new season, rather annoyingly we were on temporary greens because " we were told to put temporaries on so we can get the course in the best possible condition for the open men's competition on Saturday"
There may be a way for your handicap secretary to delete the unattested round and then re enter it without it needing attestation, I haven't done handicaps for a few years so I could be wrong but it is worth checking.

Wont be long now before mats are put away until the end of the year, at my club we do advocate using a mat anywhere in the general area, which seems sensible tome as we do not run qualifying competitions during the winter.

I played 14 hoes today, lovely sunny day, really good signs that spring isn't far away and with spring comes the new season and who knows what that will bring.
