The reviews I read for standard custom fitting at DG were not good, and people felt they had just been left to their own accord and offered the John Letters range. I'm sure Ping gain more business but having these authorised fitting centres at DG but surely they wouldn't do it if they felt it...

Do you need to be a member at your club to do this? On their website it says you must go through your ping retailer to book an appointment.
How would this differ from the direct golf Ping fitting service, as I've been told they follow the same procedure.

I mentioned Direct Golf as I've seen the G25 irons which seem reasonably priced for my first set of fitted clubs.
