Given that it's a public course and the public have right of access, I'd hardly call it theft!
I accept it isn't the right thing to do but every divot is replaced and every pitchmark repaired. That's better than the majority of golfers I've met. If the clubhouse was open when I finish work I'd...
We have a public course a couple of miles down the road. I've started heading down at about 730 every evening to play six or seven holes or practise my short game.
As the clubhouse is closed, I just park at an 'alternative entrance' that's a few holes in and jump on the course.

have to say that we as golfers would get annoyed at this but on the other hand, imagine if you were a rugby league fan and you had to watch a golf presentation instead of the build up to your team's semi final....
I went to golfbidder on Saturday after a doing a lot of research and picked up the Ping Rapture driver for £75, bargain.
So far on two rounds I've used it 25 times. I've hit the fairways 21 times. Compared to my old Taylormade driver that would give me about 8 fairways a round.
Love it. It's...
Anyone been to their showroom? I was thinking of heading down at the weekend but didn't know how much stock they actually keep onsite. There's an AG just around the corner apparently too so I was thinking of swinging some clubs in there and then going in to Golfbidder to see if they have...
I knocked my AD333 through the green and into heavy rough. Lost the ball but ended up finding a Pro V1x. I was more happy with that then if I had won the hole!
I've not been to watch live golf but I would imagine if thousands of people are wearing golf shoes rather than trainers, it would do a lot more damage to the course. I would have thought that the course wouldn't want them to wear golf shoes
Using a brolly only slows down the speed at which you get soaked,. It doesn't seem to prevent it totally. I prefer to just let it hit me and deal with it!
If you're heading out for a round on your own and another lonely finger wanders up to the first tee behind you, do you offer to play together?
I do sometime prefer to play on my own but if the course is busy, surely it makes sense for you to have someone to chat to while the fourball ahead hacks...
