As I'm moving house this year, I'm not a member of any course so I spend my weekends at different courses around London. Variety is nice.

I've not been to watch live golf but I would imagine if thousands of people are wearing golf shoes rather than trainers, it would do a lot more damage to the course. I would have thought that the course wouldn't want them to wear golf shoes

Using a brolly only slows down the speed at which you get soaked,. It doesn't seem to prevent it totally. I prefer to just let it hit me and deal with it!

If you're heading out for a round on your own and another lonely finger wanders up to the first tee behind you, do you offer to play together? I do sometime prefer to play on my own but if the course is busy, surely it makes sense for you to have someone to chat to while the fourball ahead hacks...
