    Milled driver

Agree above it will make it non-conforming and probably collapse (assuming it is 'fairly new' ie less than 10 years old). On a technical note - that will be some piece of milling! To clamp up, datum & calculate a cutting profile on a curving driver face to skim probably 0.1mm - that is SOME ASK...

    Vaping

Also down to what battery & tank you have. If you have good ones that you cannot put down then it is easy to go through a lot of juice. If you are going through a lot it is best to go fairly low. I am down to 6mg but vape about 10ml in 3 days. Ingredients:- Nicotine (unless zero nic) Glycerol...

    Ban Smoking on Golf Courses

Markw - Pretty similar!! Started 50/50 at least 5 years ago - ZERO tobacco products for the last 2. I have had original istick for 3 months, now have second istick30 for 3 weeks and switch between the two. Tooting like a train I do a battery in 1.5 ~ 2 days, about 5ml of juice. The second...

    Ban Smoking on Golf Courses

I am an ex smoker now vaping like a train as per Markw. (Don't want to hijack but what is your kit Mark?) Smoking is like everything - you will get 'good & bad' people. A few baddies should not stereotype an entire mass of smokers. Outdoors is a BIG place, you can always find a spot so smoke...

How to fit a FATSO 5.0 grip - any tips or experience?

I use 1.2" DS tape from a roll - not dedicated 'grip tape'. I tape the full length of the grip in a linear strip and over the end, then remove backing. This is repeated with the next strip slightly overlapping / touching the first. When I repeat with a 3rd strip the entire circumference is then...

How to fit a FATSO 5.0 grip - any tips or experience?

That probably makes sense Blue. I have searched the web for specs but cannot find it. I normally fit 580 grips regardless of shaft as they go on 600's fairly easily and I like the thickness. The bottom of the Fatso is strong rubber, approaching soft plastic - difficult to stretch. Thanks

    Ultra soft golf balls

Mr S Dog, Opinions will vary from person to person but here is mine for what it is worth. I would say try a few different ones out and see what you seem to like. Then stick to the same ball so you learn how it behaves and reacts. Choose the price you are willing to spend and try a few from that...

How to fit a FATSO 5.0 grip - any tips or experience?

Well I just fitted the SuperStroke Fatso 5.0 to a friends putter (biggest available I think). Man oh man what a task that was! I must have fitted more than 100 grips in my time. Club held in gripper in my vice on a solid bench. Run down of my experience:- Put 2 small strips of tape down shaft...

    2 faced chippers

You can buy a Dunlop single sided chipper for £7 - everyone's happy  http://www.sportsdirect.com/dunlop-tour-chipper-871029?colcode=87102990 And then explain / show the offenders.

Back to the Future! TaylorMade fitting opportunity

R15 driver 'swap' stops at R7 SuperQuad - the last R without shaft adjustment/easily changeable. I went R7 425, R7 SuperQuad & R9 SuperTri. At the weekend I tried R11 - 100% no better than R9. Put my R9 shaft in to the R11 and it was practically a carbon copy for results. It's all (98%) in the...

    Lowering you handicap.

Work out where you loose most of your shots and work there. No real bad advice so far but without being rude it should be fairly 'easy' to get to 18 from where you are. Do you slice 3 balls OOB each round? - practice / change that Do you play the 'Seve' recovery 4 times per round and run up...

How long do you give a new club before binning it?

Graphite shafts still have a spine(s). Usually there are a couple or multiple but they are still there. You will always find the prominent one being slightly stronger than the others. Theoretically the more you spend on shaft the less likelihood of there being a true spine and it 'should' be...

How long do you give a new club before binning it?

Have you played about with the adjust-ability (shaft position, weight etc.)? I would give it a try with the shaft in different orientations because I fully believe the spine position has a lot to do with it. I have adjusted my R9 on numerous occasions and shafts - each time it is best NBP to...
