We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!
there's been various weekend competitions over the summer with a few more planned i.e. Directors weekend, Captains day. different comps for different abilities. I haven't played in any of them as im still trying to get my official handicap. As for weekly, there's different roll ups most days of...
Hi
I joined in April after trying most other local courses and can highly recommend it. its friendly, welcoming and the course never seems too busy. The layout is such that you can play shorter rounds if you want which is great for those late summer evenings. I think there's a membership drive...
just to add I regularly play the open tee's on a Saturday/Sunday morning, whilst there is always a group to join there's plenty a time available to head out on you own or as a 2/3 ball. I normally rock up around 7.15 and its pretty quiet.
Hi max, thanks for the response, I appreciate you taking the time. I actually joined addington palace in April and have really enjoyed it so far. Have you been a member long?
Thanks
James
Ill leave it till march and have a walk myself and in the mean time trial SP. Hopefully theres some sign of recovery by then
In january the club told my the remedial work was working has they had gone fro.6 temp green down to 4. But that does say what actual state they are in.
Thanks for such a thorough response, this is so helpful. Shirley Park is the only one i haven't played so i will give it a trial round in the next couple of weeks. thanks for the heads up on the joining fee. let me know how you get on, I'll be interested to hear how you find it.
@Oddsocks Thanks, layout and friendliness to new comers but the social side of things is not as important to me. I also like to play Saturday/sunday mornings.
Thanks bratty, yeah i heard about the greens. I played there in october around the time the greens went bad and i have been told they are recovering. However, ill wait untill spring amd go look for myself before committing to a membership. The greens issue is a real shame.
Hi every one
I got back into golf after a 20 year hiatus at the end of 2022 and im now looking in to membership options. I played almost weekly last year at public pay n play course and im now scoring low 90s and had a couple rounds in the high 80s. Ive played most of the course local to me in...
Has anyone got an update on the greens at addington palace? I payed it in october with a view to joining this year. I liked the layout and the clubhkuse just not sure how the greens are recovering
