Slightly off topic but if your wife is a beginner I would suggest getting a buggy as well.
It wont be a lot of fun for her if she is struggling to hit the ball but the buggy will give her a bit of fun.
You don't want her moaning that she has had enough after 3 holes
To be fair i did reply tongue in cheek.
Officially once your opponent had won the hole it was finished. So you was practice putting but if you want to call it an eagle you crack on
We have been asked to keep a scorecard in matchplay just in case of any disputes. Most just put W,H or L.
My opponent was actually getting a shot, so after his hole in One I had lost the hole.
Congratulations to you as well. Looks like we both had "Eagles" and lost the hole.
Yes i agree with you and I got a Hole in One.
I think if you was to actually do the scorecard correctly then you would find it said you had lost the hole not that you had an eagle.
I do see where the op is coming from.
The problem is not how many fairways the top players hit the problem is the punishment for missing the fairway is not severe enough to make it a difficult choice for them.
If the rough was more penal then the top players would put more of a premium on...
So if i play a par 3 and give a shot and my opponent goes first and makes a hole in one.
He then says you can have yours before I tee off have i got a hole in one as well?
I like your thinking, now every time there is a hole in One thread I can say I have got One, Cheers
You say the course opposite you is busy during most days and you need to book a week in advance.
I would check and see if they have a roll up most days which might be why it is busy which as a member you could be part of.
It is a great way to meet new people. play some golf and have some fun...
It is great to see someone with your enthusiasm.
A lot of people on here will tell you to buy cheap balls because as a beginner you may lose a lot and in general I would agree with them.
In your case you seem happy to spend a few quid without a worry so I would suggest buying a few sleeves of...
I know Coulsdon Manor she will be fine whatever she is wearing.
Although give them a call and explain your /her situation and then you will have no doubt and you will probably both be more relaxed and enjoy your round.
Morning Ron
I can understand that but if you have someone who constantly posts the same/similar drivel is there nothing that can be done about it.?
In my opinion and looking I am not alone in my thoughts it would be nice to be able to debate and have banter without said poster ruining it
