Seems pointless, our club has no mats or pegging up in winter and yet come the season, the fairways are still the best around. I can't recall the last time there was a trolley ban either.

The shoes are new, I have taken the Cyclones out in favour of some metal spikes for winter. The only ones I can find that are supposed to be compatible are the Champ Lite Wate with Tri Lok.

I agree, if you don't have a genuine one as a comparison, the giveaway would be the symmetrical pattern circled, probably the easiest way of telling.

Hardest frost I've seen for a while yesterday, we were on half temporary, half full greens. Working all week, not a sniff of frost, Saturday morning, white over! It's always the case. Sometimes I drive past the golf club on my way to work midweek and curse/envy the retired guys having a knock!
