We have a sign directing commercial and large vehicles to a separate area of the car park. One bloke was moaning about snobbery, until it was pointed out that the area has larger spaces and gaps to accommodate bigger vehicles.

I can only think of Rye and New Zealand as not allowing ankle socks with shorts. No idea why, but that's their business. I wear long trousers when I play there. If you don't want to do that, that's fine, but your loss, as both are wonderful courses.

In all the years I've played, the number of random wrong uns I've been put with is tiny, relative to the number of decent folk I've met.
