Thanks guys for the replies, appreciated. The video was helpful too.
Played a par3 course on Monday and most iron shots started straight and drew to the left (not enough to be called a hook, but more than a useful draw). Only by turning the right hand even further to the right and basically...
Hi guys,
I have a 'strong' grip, right hand thumb straight down the shaft if not a bit to the right. It feels comfortable and allows me to get good power through the ball. Tendency to push to the left with a bit of draw, but I naturally swing inside the line so it isn't normally a problem...
Hi,
There are about a dozen of us in my church who play golf occasionally. Last year I organised a meet up for all of us, and everyone else has come out with me for round or two at other times.
Do you think it is worth me setting up a small society and taking things further? Or just stick to...
Got a wii balance board for Christmas and the new fit plus disk comes with a golf balance game on it - where it maps your balance shift and feeds it back to you. (a simple version of the Leadbetter wii game).

Rory suggests GMac's 6iron to set up the putt was the best shot.
Have just realised the benefit of filming yourself on a range session when it's dark outside - you can actually see the ball in the footage, as it's discernible against the black sky.
would you recommend a 5 or 6iron off the tee for a beginner?
I'm toying with the idea - I have more chance of getting it straight with my 6iron than my driver.
And, mitsushiba... I've got a bag by them and the zip broke... and I use a cheap putter and it performs as well as I do... balls? not...
Mickelson had to play a right handed shot last week in the US Open (to save himself falling off the cliff), he simply turned the club face upside down and chipped out of the rough.
as far as I understand these things, for handicap cuts anything more than 2 over (revised pars) is only counted as 2 over. So scoring 10 is akin to scoring 7, say...
I might have that wrong... I've yet to hand my first card in! Feel free anyone to offer a correction.
