How can I pre register a better ball round?

Sorry for the ignorance but I have no knowledge in this area. What is a "qualifying comp". Does that also mean that a qualified comp would adjust your handicap automatically and no need to use England golf app

Spoke to the event organiser and he said it wasn't a qualified comp. Seems a few people on the day where sticking their noses in where it wasn't wanted

From what I can gather. If you attend on the first day then you're likely to be called at some point. If you don't then you're technically a "reserve" and don't get called at all. They key difference seems to be if you attend first day or not 🤷♂️
Has anyone here done jury service? My service was due to start tomorrow but I had an email saying I wasn't required to attend on Monday but I should remain available. I have to wait for an email the day before to see if I'm due in the next day.
