i lose most of my shots on my short game and that can definitely improve for an over 55 - I voted yes. My handicap came down when I put in some short game practice - need to get back to that !!

I've found gloves that last just a few rounds and others that last for much longer. Tend to swap and change between Footjoy, Callaway and Srixon. The hybrid gloves tend to last the best

I would ask for clarification for sure. It may well be that the competition had a maximum handicap provision (Max 28 for example) and that wasn't automatically triggered when the results were initially posted. Always worth checking the rules of the competition. Very well played though and...

5 iron is my longest - although I'll often take the 4 hybrid and choke down on it in preference

At the moment, it's a Callaway Tour Authentic. This is a change from the usual Footjoy which I normally wear.
