    YouTubers.

This. As somebody else pointed out - some of the best content creators were involved (Finch, although he grates on me somewhat, has an excellent production team atm) and it feels like the hosts just completely ignored all that and let their work experience intern have a stab.

    Random Irritations

Yeah they used my hamstring in mine as well - the incision they made to get to it is below my right knee, so how they got up to my hamstring from rhere blows my mind 😂. If I touch my toes now and run my hand up the back of my legs you can still tell the bit that was removed as it doesn't bulge...

    Professional Golf 2024

I think the Clutch tour took picked up a lot of the vacuum left by the shutting down of the old Eurotour - so this is great news for it and it's players.

    Saturday golf

Should have added this, you can get on most clubs around us after the comps on a Saturday - it means a 2pm or later tee time and likely a slow round but with the longer nights it's doable.

    Random Irritations

Same happened to me, but being young and having not yet discovered the joys of golf I decided to carry on playing rugby with no ACL 😂. Was in a cycle of playing - knee swelled up for a few weeks - swelling goes down - play again. It was apparently a horror show in there when they finally did the...

    YouTubers.

I actually really like the look of them but, alas, I agree - I couldn't walk around with a youtubers logo on my feet. It doesn't quite have the same gravitas as a tiger woods collaboration would have. I do completely understand these youtubers building brands and releasing merchandise as...

    Saturday golf

Off the top of my head Silverdale's comp day is a Sunday so normally no issue getting on there on a Saturday. We're playing Hart Common near Wigan on Saturday as visitors and teeing off at 11.30. Heaton Park and Marland near Manchester and Stanley Park in Blackpool will also have availability...

    I bought today.....

A lovely J Lindeberg gilet with my winnings from a recent open. Was thinking it was a bit pointless at first as the weather should be warming up but it was a godsend last night for a little post work round I had!

    PlayMoreGolf Membership

I've signed up for a PMG membership at my club this year as I didn't get the use out of my proper membership last year (think I only played 15 times or so, mostly in evenings) but I wanted to keep my handicap active for opens etc. I don't think the weekend rounds are particularly great value...

    YouTubers.

Peter Finch did this for a spell last year but I don't think too many came forward. They were pretty good matches from memory.

I played today and..(Rolling) -originally created by JohnnyDee

We had this issue last year - usually the front runners in the comp can get around in circa 3 hours and a few of the blokes need that due to work commitments (one of them has a fish and chip shop so needs to be done by 10:30ish to get prepped for lunchtime). Unfortunately, we had a group that...

I played today and..(Rolling) -originally created by JohnnyDee

My inconsistent run of form continues out yesterday morning and shot 4 under handicap over the 15 open holes... out this morning and couldn't make a par to save my life. On the plus side my dad came along for the walk this morning and it was lovely to just spend time with him just the two of us.

    Things That Gladden The Heart

I know! Sunday could be that day after a couple of dry days but I'll need to weedkill it first as there's already some sprouting through. And then I jeed to get to work on the wasteland that the paving borders, after which a further wash will be required 🤣. Like I said, wish I'd never started 🤣

What is your club doing to combat the weather in the future?

We had an email a few weeks back from the greens committee with a detailing list of work they would be undertaking to address the drainage issues that we've had this winter. They've basically looked at all the wettest spots and investigated what drains were already in place and what state they...

Very true - The boss is probably an incredibly articulate, well-informed and mild-mannered individual.
