I use spikes when they're allowed and bring spares just in case. the cleats are great and I don't have any problem with their grip it's just that they do get clogged up very quickly and are not easy to clear when they are clogged.

i started off with a real tinny heel and toe with the starter set i got, I soon replaced that with a Wilson blacjack v mallet. £15 but TBH i like it. Got a WIlson staff 8876 at crimbo and I love it, I'm keeping the blackjack just in case though.
