Woaf! Same here! I can't remember the last time i enjoyed a game! I play about every 2 weeks now, and will soldier on until the end of the season but i get the feeling that will be that. It's too expensive not to enjoy (incidentally i'm not sad about it or anything, it's only a game)
I've found...
We played the nike match play yesterday at our home course. I couldn't beleive the putts our opponents were giving us on the first 6 holes. Our greens are very tricky, we made them putt everything from 2 feet, and they missed a few. Lots of wee sliding left to righters, I don't think they...
I'm 34 next week. The vast majority at our place are 40-50s and beyond. I can probably think of 20 folk around the same age group as myself, played junior golf with most of them. Very rarely see someone in my age group taking up the game
I just swapped my blades for a set of adams, older model than these but seriously impressed. Their irons are absolutely superb, my mate bought a set last week too .
I'd have snapped these up 2 weeks ago!
3-pw in good condition. Faces and grooves in good used condition, usual bag clatter
2007 version
Project x 6.0 flighted shafts, great condition. Terrific shafts
I'd rate them 6/10
£90 incl postage,
Cheers
Well...
I played brilliantly, hitting it sweet as a nut, had the best driving round I can remember and a load of birdie putts. However....
36 putts killed it, including 2 tiddlers for a 79 and probably .1 to show for it. Positive though, work hard on the putting this week and won't be far away
Yesterday I had a similar experience ! Haven't enjoyed golf this year at all, hacked my way round again and sat in the car wondering why I play! Anyway, happens to everyone. Got home, ebayed my blades and am buying something more forgiving. The frustration makes the good rounds better, played...
I've witnessed a driver being whirled into the middle of a pond. That was my all time favourite moment on the golf course. It was one of those Cleveland things with the funny neck that Corey pavin used to use
I have x stiff in driver, stiff in 3 wood and soft stepped s300 in the irons. I prefer the way they feel, always likes a stouter shaft in the driver so I can commit to it without worrying about a hook.
At the end if the day, feel is everything in my book. Forget about what anyone else says...
At pros day last Saturday they had a launch monitor set up to test out some Wilson drivers. Hit my own driver first, awful swing, 236 recorded. Then had a go with the Wilson and cracked it, right out the middle, perfect!
240 with a good swing! I'm a club longer than a fair number of folk I play...
I definitely find the x to be a bit straighter off the longer clubs, and it flies a bit higher too. Spin wise I don't think golfers at our level would really notice the difference from a wedge, I don't anyway. Regardless, don't think the tour pros would use an x if it didn't spin the same from...
Great review, I love this kind of thing. I have apps on my phone which I can't use during competitions to record club distance etc , this seems ideal. Expensive though!
