    Things That Gladden The Heart

I was feeling a bit retro in the Christmas sales and bought two Aquascutum tops online. I don’t normally tend to like spending money in Ashley’s establishments but the Flannels sale was too good to miss. They arrived today and whilst the quality isn’t as good as it was, I’m pleasantly surprised...

Think I’ll do similar. Although, I’ll have to pay I’d have thought, which I don’t necessarily mind. You’d have thought all over 40’s would be given an MOT by the NHS - could save a fortune in the long run.

Cheers, will check it out. The donner kebab I made the other day would take some topping. We have a lot of curries and stir fries anyway - so this will at least add a bit of variety.

Did you take a test to identify any deficiencies for the vitamin supplements - or treating more as a multi vitamin cover-all approach? I’m in my mid-forties and have been thinking about getting a test for a while to identify what needs supplementing.

    Losing weight/fitness thread

Apologies for the long post. I had a bit of a shoulder/arm injury towards the end of the year that curtailed some progress (not sure if too much weight or poor technique that caused it). Appears to be fully healed now though and I’m switched back on exercise wise, with the diet following suit...

    Random Irritations

£4k is not a bad deposit in the second hand market. I’d be surprised if you couldn’t get similar monthly payments on many other cars in the price range you’ve mentioned. However, accept you may want ‘new’ after what happened to previous car. Although many manufacturers offer 7-8 warranties and...

“Don’t eat that, it’s for Christmas”. My wife’s current favourite saying.

This looks brilliant. I’d love something similar in the future.

    Christmas 2025

With Christmas week, then 3 home games before the 6th you’re not far off. Hopefully, a good festive period for Boro.

Back to bed after normality resumed. Awful though. Frustratingly the proper KO was avoided so I can’t imagine this is the last of Paul.

I’m up as the dog ate something he shouldn’t. He has so far produced far more than this fight after four rounds. The fight stinks just as bad.

I’ll watch it in the morning. Just need not to remember not to check my phone beforehand.

    Christmas 2025

Christmas officially started for me yesterday. Finished work at 2pm and straight out for food and drinks. Not back until 6 January, so a nice break. Good job too as plenty on. Golf today. Poker night tomorrow. Panto on Sunday, an extended family night in the pub on Monday. Golf away day on...

    Sky...

I tried again today via the live chat and eventually got it sorted. If it was a football analogy, I didn’t quite leave it all out there in the pitch. However I did get a deal for £80. I’m saving £53 per month, with one tweak to my package - I’ve got shot of Sky Kids, which I didn’t know we still...
