I think there is far, far more strength in depth now than ever — way more so than the late 90s ans early 00s and certainly more than 15 years ago when Luke Donald, Westwood and Kaymer were vying for No. 1 status (which is pretty much when Rory started to dominate..)

Strongly agree that Scottie is an absolute world apart from his rivals. I disagree Rory is above the others you mention…he also dominated for about 18 months only. Obvs one of the best this century but Scottie is The Man.

Just as long as they don’t get Mackenzie and Ebert in to destroy that beautiful course by recreating the Sahara, the way they have massacred a couple of the closing holes at Ganton and Deal, that adds nothing to the way anyone would strategise playing those holes 🙄
