many thanks for suggestions, ill investigate, they would only be for dry days, in Thailand it will be blazing Sun every day,
and here just for dry days, i can then keep my foot joys for heavier times

Hi
i'm thinking of getting some new shoes with next season in mind and also for a holiday
coming up in December (golfing in Thailand), could some kind members please have any recommendations for an 'economy'l lightweight shoe, i have quite old foot joys which also are still pretty good for their...
just thought i would report back after my initial question and now after some experiments on the recommendations,
I'm glad to report my chipping/short pitching has improved dramatically ala the techniques described in post 24, i also bought the dvd by Gary Smith which describes the simple...
hi and thanks
i've been looking at several chipping vids on YT in the last 72 hours and they all seem to be very similar, in that
they are much more 'centred' with only a touch more weight on front foot if any, hands to just a touch in front, the concentration seems to be on a very shallow line...
Forbidden planet classic sci fi from the 50's, with todays special effects it could be dazzling, as long as they made it more 'serious'
compared to the childish 'comedy' bits in it, epic battle between the 'monster of the id' and the space travellers all blasters blazing.
very innovative...
the young Helen mirren, 'age of consent' gets them out in the film, (not fully in this clip) mouth watering

thanks, very interesting, he's showing what ive been doing, only with me its been even
more exaggerated, hands too far in front, ball to far back in the stance, producing a 'duff'
behind the ball

Hi
i recently had a golf holiday in Thailand, played pretty grimly but at last
on my last game (as part of an ex pat golf society) i scored 35 points and hit a 89 gross, (mainly due
to a swing tip i saw on you tube about 'curing' a pull) fine because all last year i barely broke 100, however...
have a look at the Jim venetos swing on you tube, an alternate swing method, im trying it and
have started hitting some lovely soft draws, you may find it interesting but you will have to de-program yourself from
orthodox golf teaching, you may find you dont need a new driver
Hi
i wonder if you might advise on this, i'm not convinced that the new irons of today are particularly
any better than many of the past, a buddy has the above clubs for sale, they are in quite good shape, i am on the lookout for some new irons, after researching on the net these x14's be it pro...
good idea, im a bit hampered as i dont have transport but i think there is an american golfstore
not too far, wonder if you can pay for a fitting only?
Cheers Dth
i was generally thinking of holding back till early next year, goodness knows what they can come up with after the SLDR, 'Steroid assisted?'
but if i there was a cheap sldr going just wondered if it was the club for me, perhaps the new ping g30 though that seems to be getting very good...
many thanks for reply,
i think im a bit to far gone for more lessons, to be honest im pretty happy with how i swing now, with the driver i stand a touch open and then drive 'down the line' giving me a nice fade, i've definitely got the hankering for something shiny though :) im just wondering...
