    I agree

    Standardising par

We did it a couple of years ago, but it only meant changing the Par for men playing off the reds.

    Dropped Ball

You are I assume referring to Model Local Rule E-5, in which case the answer is a no for GP cards as it is for competitions. Has your club adopted this LR, I have not heard of any club in the UK that has done so.

    Betterball Stableford Scores for Handicap

As a referee I have always advised players to put both scores down when both players have putted out. Just in case a penalty for one or other player is identified after the event, in which case without a score for the hole the pair would have to be disqualified. Players though should not be...

Ball in Motion on Green Hits Robotic Mower

Because forcing a player to take relief could leave them in a much worse position than had they been able to simply play the ball as it lies. As a referee I recognise that the rules are not simple, but I'd challenge anyone to make them simpler without making the game harder to play than it...

Creating a ramp with a Spurk golf mat.

Just I quick add to my earlier post. I am satisfied that had the R&A wished to penalise a player for not placing the mat at parallel to the ground beneath it they would of said so in MLR E -12. Ditto to using the mat to aid direction of play.

Creating a ramp with a Spurk golf mat.

As a referee, I acknowledge that the position not 100% clear, however I am not sure how the authorities could make it so without severly impacting the pace of play or restricting the type of mat that could be used. I am sure no one wishes to see the introduction of a list of comforming matts...

The all things EV chat thread

Octopus will if you so wish arrange installation of a charger, though any competent electrician should be able to do. Cheapest tariff with Octopus is inteligent go, which gives 6 hrs at 7.5p now, though peak rate is a kittle mor3 than the variable rate, so make sure you will be charging often...

    Wills Question

That is all well and good, but we don't know what is going to happen to us in the meantime. We may not be in control of our own facalties when that time comes and so may not be able to change a will made now. My advice would be to make provision in the will now, but be prepared to make...

    Age for seniors

Then I'll be happy to answer your original question now I have the facts. The club in question has made a business decision as that is what businesses do, they will only find out if it was a crazy decision at the end of the year, but I doubt very much that it will prove to have been so.

    Age for seniors

Let me get this right there is a seniors rate for green fee's at this club. That is something I have never come across after paying green fee's at over 300 clubs. Very few clubs round here still offer cheaper membership fee's either.

For full membership including affiliation fee's that is exactly the same as ours. This year I get a 5% loyalty discount taking it down to £1,333. We've also been closed since Friday, and given the flooding we had on the course, I doubt it will be open before the middle of the week...

Ours have just been annonced, a flat £50 across all categories with the exception of juniors. This means a small decrease for me as I become eligible for a 5% loyalty discount.
