When should I pick up in a bogey comp?

Here lies the problem, you describe your expereince but it is not mine. Overall I am guessing you are right in terms of the majority of players, but there are still not an insignificant number of golfers like me, who in the last summer played more competitive golf in formats other than...

When should I pick up in a bogey comp?

I don't, though how america where they, as I understand it, play very little competitive golf is relevant I am not sure. From the little I know they have bigger problems becuase very few scores are used for handicap in competive play. It seems to me that if all competive rounds were counted...

When should I pick up in a bogey comp?

I'll say it again and nobody I am not sure I have ever been given and complete answer, if that the case why should handicaps based solely on a different format of the one we use for this format. Perhaps we need a matchplay/bogey handicap and a strokeplay/stableford handicap????? I am very...

Would you join a club that did not have a dress code?

One of the ways people are and always have been sperated by class, is in the way the dress, as well as money of course. Yes, things have moved on from 2015, but that has been in part because many clubs have significantly relaxed their dress codes, which proves the point does it not.

Would you join a club that did not have a dress code?

There's plenty of research thar indicates this, so I don't need to give examples. https://committees.parliament.uk/writtenevidence/128475/pdf/ https://www.leedsbeckett.ac.uk/blogs/expert-opinion/2015/04/consumption-and-class-the-curious-case-of-golf/

Would you join a club that did not have a dress code?

Of course, but don't you think such rules should be reviewed and account taken on changes in societal norms. Such rules are not conducive to growing the game, though of course clubs are and should be free to decide their own rules.

Would you join a club that did not have a dress code?

Right, if that is the debate here fine, but I have seen nothing on the last three pages that it is. All about why have such a rule.

Would you join a club that did not have a dress code?

Of course it isn't, but why the hell is anybody offended by a hat. Amazing that a large part of the political debate is around the rights of others to be offended or otherwise by words that actually may detrimentally effect people in their daily lives, and here we are on a golf forum talking...

    LIV Golf

I guess there is a deal to be made, but in order to ensure another LiV doesn't come along soon, the fines will have be to significantly greater than in the deal offered a few months ago.

Annual hcp review cut for people reaching or winning a match play final

You don't you merely have to better than you opponent in each round. While it is likley you will had to play very well in some of those matches, it is by no means guaranteed.

Freezing Handicap Index on WHS Platform

Is that usually how organisations have their excalation processes, otherwise CEO's would be inundated with minor staff/customer enquiries.

    The Masters 2026

Unless the conditions become more suitable for low scoring I don't see anyone else beating 12 under, so 2 level par rounds will likely see him become only the 4th to go back to back at The Masters.

Out of Bounds and ball lost Rule Query

Stroke & distance is a ine shot penalty. I agree re E-5 for handicap competitions, but disagree for elite level.
