The first round is not practicing - both rounds are the same competition so only practice/play before the first round is not allowed . This is the same as this Friday at the masters - players finished their 1st round then played their second round almost immediately afterwards (in some cases).

Here in Scotland the App works it out for you if it is a club competition- if not most of us have calculators on our phones! If it’s just a friendly we use rounded CH. I suspect the same applies throughout U.K. and NI
