    FS - Evnroll ER2 putter

Bought this on a whim last month. Literally played 3 rounds, mint condition. Puts a brilliant roll on the ball, but for me I am just not comfortable with these big grips on putters. Was tempted to re-grip it but have settled on something else. It’s the 35 inch model...

Any Tesla 3 Owners around here?

Funnily enough I spent too much time last week reading online about EV cars. The Tesla Model 3 Long Ranges in particular. I currently drive a BMW 120d and the wife has a company car Outlander PHEV, which in the most part has worked well for short journeys ferrying in the kids about. Just 1...

    Trump Aberdeen

The spring and autumn Texas scrambles are a great way to play this course. I’m going again on 19th April. We won it 2 years ago and first prize was another round ans overnight stay in the hotel, which is sensational. £400 split 4 ways.

    Trump International

Played there in a Texas scramble earlier in the year. Immense course and a cheaper way to play it. I will be going back next year

Hardest course you have ever played?

The European. Amazing course that is brutally tough, even more so if the wind blows. Played in a society comp their in a howling gail. 19 points won. One of my mates hit a near 400 yard drive down wind and into the wind hit driver on a 180yd par 3 and came up short

How much a difference does a driver shaft make?

Turkish, I have a 910D2 driver head. In the last 18 months I have now accumulated 5 different shafts that I can easily change as they all fit the Titty driver. I really loved an Oban one in the 910 head, but have since procured a 915D3 head and the Oban with 915 head just doesn't feel the same...

    Scottish ref mark 2

What any 'remain' camp should be focusing on in Indy Ref 2 is to really question the SNP how they are going to bridge the gap between what they spend and what they receive: (from GERS report) Net Fiscal Balance 2014-15 This is the difference between current revenue and total public sector...

Slow play. It's finally dawned on me.......

Great point Smiffy, I thought I'd mentioned it somewhere else, back in August last year :-)

Muirfield, women, the R&A and The Open

I very much doubt this would have had any media attention if the HCOEG hadn't build such a fantastic course that has hosted many Opens and was so high profile. The majority of members voted in favour of allowing women to join, must be their constitution that meant 2/3rds were required to get it...

    Leicester City 2016/17

What a lot of folk don't realise is that Leicester do have some decent back up players, they have strength in depth, just not with household names. GK - Ben Hamer, Mark Schwarzer will be leaving so possible addition needed here RB - No decent back up for Simpson, Ritchie De Laet not great...

    I have had a golf lesson(s) in my life and it(they) was(were)....

One of the best lessons I had was many years ago with the Pro at Shotts, 9 holes on the course. He effectively walked around with me (not playing) and we talked through each shot, what I was thinking in terms of how I had decided what shot to play. Ended up playing numerous mulligans to see...

    Junior Doctors Strike

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to grasp the idea that if you go from a 5 day a week service (for operations etc) to a 7 day a week service that you will need more Doctors. Absolutely a pointless exercise if all they intend to do is the same amount of operations/treatments but spread them...

    Junior Doctors Strike

But one of the main features on the governments proposal is to reduce the amount of hours a Junior Doctor can work over a set period of time. Therefore ensuring they get more rest and don't work excessively. The point being it should improve patient safety. Currently a Junior Doctor can sign...

    Dundonald Sunday 10th April 2016

Had a great time, company good, weather wonderful, course excellent, golf like a fiddlers elbow. Well played Karen (fairway dodger) and Merve the swerve (hopefully home safely now). JohnB and myself started like a house on fire, 26 points after 6 holes. We then managed to dovetail beautifully...
