The new Bond one is "Carte Blanche" and is by Jeffrey Deaver who has written some cracking thrillers, I have just listened to this one and really enjoyed it so could be worth a go.
Ours is as Fundy says but with 6 options A B C D E F and the pin positions for the day are all E for example then you refer to your little chart and it shows you which sixth of the green it will be in. Only problem is nobody ever has a pin placement chart with them!
Ganton is fantastic and well worth a trip, I understand Filey is good too and there are also a couple of nices courses in Scarborough, if you come back let me know and I'll take you for a knock at my course, Malton, which is only abot 20 miles away.

Malton and Norton (My home course) is well worth a visit, we have 27 holes and is in good nick at the moment. You will love Ganton, we went in Februaury and it was in terrific condition then.
